In the six-week period following birth — called immediate postpartum — women are typically not encouraged to exercise, except for pelvic floor muscle strength training. Bethany`s Notes: Another barrier for women to face in elite sport. There is a lot of transition and change for moms let alone for elite athletes who give birth and become a mom. This is a good insight into that world.
