2017 SEC Champion Maddy Banic has opened up about her
dealings with depression, anxiety, and alcohol abuse, in hopes of
helping others in the situation. In a personal blog post, Banic explains
that it was an anxiety attack that caused her to be taken away from the
2017 NCAA Championships in an ambulance. She says that after medicine
and therapy didn’t help improve her mental health, she turned to
alcohol, and would eventually enter a rehab facility.... ....Banic is an 8-time NCAA All-American and 6-time SEC Champion, including
