Bethany`s Notes: As some Olympic athletes face their next decision (to continue to compete or retire) this article makes some suggestions to make the transition easier. Although it specifically talks about elite athletes the same could be said for those leaving HS to college who will not compete or those moving from college to post college. Create new goals and find a new sense of purpose. Learn to live the process without being defined by the results.
